Undergraduate Portfolio & Entry Requirements
1. Portfolio Submission
All applicants must submit a portfolio showing creative ability and technical aptitude.
- Fine Arts: 10 drawings or paintings (stills, landscapes, portraits).
- Traditional Applied Arts: 5 photo/video documentations of felt works, carvings, or fabric crafts.
- Graphic Design: 8 digital illustrations, vector drawings, or sketches.
2. Academic Credentials
Proof of graduation and secondary school transcript are required for official registration.
- Secondary School Certificate (Attestat) from Kyrgyz schools or equivalent foreign credential.
- National ORT Test scores (for local subsidized seats, though creative talent takes priority).
- Passport copy and medical certificate (Form 086).

What should be included in my fine arts portfolio?
For Painting and Traditional Crafts, submit 10-15 high-quality photos of your work (drawings, sketches, paintings, or felt crafts). For Graphic Design, you can submit digital illustrations, sketches, or UI designs. Include brief descriptions detailing the medium and your inspiration.
Are scholarships open to international students?
Yes. While the 'Manas Excellence Scholarship' is primarily for Kyrgyz citizens, international applicants can apply for the 'Central Asian Regional Arts Fellowship' which covers up to 50% of tuition fees.
Do you offer Russian or Kyrgyz language support?
Yes, our programs are bilingual (Russian and English, with traditional arts taught in Kyrgyz). We offer a 1-year preparatory language course for students who do not meet the minimum language requirements.
Is dormitory housing guaranteed?
All first-year students coming from regions outside Bishkek and international students are guaranteed housing in the Manas Campus Residences if they apply before August 1.
