Our Mission
To preserve and celebrate the rich nomadic art traditions, craftsmanship, and oral heritage of Kyrgyzstan while equipping students with the modern technical, conceptual, and entrepreneurial tools required to succeed as professional artists and designers globally.

Our History
Key milestones in the development of BMIFA.
Foundation
Established immediately following Kyrgyzstan's independence to revive traditional arts that had been marginalized.
State Accreditation
Fully accredited by the Ministry of Education & Science of the Kyrgyz Republic as a higher education institute.
Digital Arts Launch
Created the Graphic Design and Digital Media department to meet global tech demand.
New Bishkek Campus
Opened our modern studio and dormitory complex in central Bishkek near Toktogul St.

Prof. Bakyt Nurdinov
Rector / Executive DirectorEminent Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic. Graduated from Repin Academy in St. Petersburg. Directs the general vision of the institute, fostering ties with regional ministries and European art institutions.
Dr. Gulnara Sydykova
Vice-Rector of Academic AffairsHolds a PhD in Art History. Over 20 years of curriculum development. Specializes in aligning Kyrgyz state educational frameworks with European credit systems (ECTS).
Aibek Osmonov
Director of International PartnershipsCoordinates study-abroad agreements and faculty exchange programs. Initiated collaborations with universities in Germany, South Korea, Turkey, and Kazakhstan.
